We have consulted with the police architectural liaison officer with regards the layout of the site, ensuring natural surveillance of the development that will deter those with a criminal intent. We have chosen security proven windows and door sets , mains operated smoke detectors and an integral alarm system should all help you sleep well at night.

We have investigated many potential solutions and suppliers. A couple of examples are:
www.iceenergy.co.uk have been chosen to provide the latest technology in air to water heat pumps combined with underfloor heating to both ground and first floors eliminating the need for radiators (click here for info about this).


www.cellecta.co.uk produce an alternative to traditional ground  floor construction that makes our ground floor design one of the best insulated to keep heat locked inside. Combined with high levels of wall and roof insulation.



External Water Use/Reduced mains water usage and surface water runoff.

Rain water harvesting
allows for the use of filtered rainwater by washing machines and toilets-reducing your water consumption. We have Chosen fittings that also reduce water consumption (Click here for info on this).

Cutting down on the amount of waste we produce isn't that difficult when you have the tools for the job. We understand how little free time people have ,but we also want to provide a good example to the next generation with your help.

Material Selection to lessen environmental impact

We are using clay bricks and tiles (rather than concrete) , timber stud internal walls rather than steel, mineral wool insulation rather than non natural products. Sometimes there are other factors to consider such as maintenance and value for money that sway our decision processing of our choice of PVCu Windows.

Whole house positive ventilation system
The EnviroVent Loft Mounted Unit draws fresh air into the dwelling from outside and filters it before being delivered into the property. Moisture-laden air is diluted, displaced and replaced with clean, tempered and filtered air. This eliminates or reduces surface condensation, which causes mould growth, providing a significant improvement in the health of asthma sufferers and general indoor air quality.

The integral pre-heater is designed to temper the incoming air during periods of low external temperatures. A sensor monitors incoming air and pulses the heater to ensure temperatures are held to pre-set minimums. Three independent safety cut-out devices shut down the heater in the event of fan failure. The heater facility is controlled independently from the fan by a conveniently positioned enable/disable switch.
